This week is named Gladys. First, a big THANK YOU! for funding the Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2 & Game Reprint Kickstarter. Now on to the news:

GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 20 (by Yours Truly) has art, and the PDF has been reviewed and is in final production. Expect it soon!

• The Pyramid Dungeon Collection also has art and a reviewed PDF, and is also in final production. I have no idea if it or the above item will come first.

Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2 is progressing swiftly through production.

• I've started editing GURPS Powers: Totems and Nature Spirits.

current mood: recovering

There will be no update this Friday (March 15) because I will be on a much-needed vacation. So I'd like to leave you with these thoughts about the Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2 & Game Reprint Kickstarter. To quote myself from social media and our forums:

If you like or ever liked GURPS, and you want to see it go on to do new and interesting things, please support this campaign! It is a litmus of sorts:

If it funds, that will send us the message that we should support the Dungeon Fantasy Roleplaying Game and consider future campaigns for big, interesting GURPS books (in the traditional printed sense) and/or GURPS-based products (such as this one).

If it doesn't fund, we'll have to ponder whether there's enough interest in GURPS to keep it around as anything other than a series of PDFs once or twice a month.

Even if you're thinking something like "I love GURPS, but not fantasy," "Where's GURPS Vehicles?", "Eh, I mostly liked GURPS Traveller," "Whatever happened to GURPS WWII?", or "I'm a Transhuman Space player," it is in your interest to support this campaign!

Big, thick books . . . costly licences . . . expansive settings . . . These things are expensive. Kickstarter might offer us a way to pay the price.

If a campaign for a game in the single strongest genre in all of roleplaying doesn't take off, though, we're not likely to risk anything else.

I get back on March 20. I really hope that when I do, I'll learn the campaign has been fully backed – perhaps all the way up to the $85,000 level where we can print a book that includes all the cool monsters I created.

See you then!

This week is named Felicity. The news:

• The Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2 & Game Reprint Kickstarter is live. Please back it!

• I made further progress on the production review of the Pyramid Dungeon Collection (though less than I would have liked, owing to an illness).

• My latest writing project – GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 20 – is now in production.

• The GURPS Powers: Totems and Nature Spirits playtest has just about come to a close.

• Which is why Steven posted the call for playtesters for GURPS Monster Hunters: Power-Ups 1.

• We received the first draft of another volume in the GURPS Sorcery series.

• We also received the first draft of the next item in the GURPS Vehicles series.

This week is named Beatrice. The news:

• I finished writing and turned in what I'll now reveal is GURPS Dungeon Fantasy 20.

• We made a lot of headway on Dungeon Fantasy Monsters 2 (please note the title change!). I cannot give too many details, but it's several steps closer to just maybe becoming reality.

• I conspired more with Gaming Ballistic.

This week is named Jacqueline. The news:

• I approved the art for GURPS Steampunk 3: Soldiers and Scientists, so that should be showing up very shortly.

• I reached the 85% mark on that short (21-page) writing project I started last week.

All the rest was consulting with writers on their ongoing writing projects, including two that are being written and one that's about to enter playtesting.

This week is named Ella. The news:

• I updated the GURPS News for January.

• I started writing a new (short) project. No hints yet . . . it's barely a day old and still on the drawing board.

Everything else was either consulting with writers on their projects or handling administrative tasks. What can I say? Life in the games business is often a lot like any other kind of project management.
